Ready, Set, Go! Fall worship schedule, new classes and new directions begin.

Fresh starts, clean slates, new beginnings – there’s nothing like them, and WGPC is getting moving again, gearing up to the steady hum of our regular worship times of 8:30 a.m. for informal worship and 10:30 p.m. for traditional worship beginning Sept. 8 after a relaxing summer.  We look forward to new topics to study, new people to meet, and new programs to enjoy as we grow in the Lord.

On Aug. 18, the Youth and Children’s programming kicked off with a tasty brunch of delicious crepes. Flavors from the Holy Crepes Food Truck included peaches and cream, Nutella and fruit and savory meat and veggie crepes, Pastor Ed said.

“Everyone had a good time. They waited in line. They sat and ate and they stayed and talked and enjoyed each other’s company,” he said.

That evening children and their parents gathered to sign paperwork, meet teachers, spend some family time coloring, mark their birthdays on the big birthday calendars and share a meal. From now on, children and youth activities, which include children’s choir, bell ringing and Sunday school lessons, are scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. for the younger set and at 7 p.m. for 9th through 12th grade students for youth activities in Agape.  For a full schedule for children, click here. This Sunday, Aug. 25, new opportunities for serving Christ, studying God’s Word and enjoying fellowship with God’s people will be presented in the Fellowship Hall right after the worship service.

Included in the selection, are opportunities loosely separated into four categories – Faith in Action, Worship and Music, Faith Formation and Fellowship and Caring Ministries.  In other words, there are opportunities to sing, ring, study, work for justice, save the planet and serve the church and God’s people here, there and everywhere. Find God’s purpose for your life and your place at WGPC this Sunday!

Ice cream will be served.

We seek to live Christ's love, welcome all people and joyfully serve God.
