Get Involved

We at Webster Groves Presbyterian Church understand that the involvement of our church and community help make us stronger and allows us to impact our surrounding areas, and even the world. We encourage each and every one of you to get involved with the church, as we have something for everyone.

Diving Deeper - Spiritual Reflections: Faith Practices for Social Justice Work
Sundays, January 5, 12 & 19, 9:30am

Join us in Diving Deeper at 9:30am in the Youth Lounge as Rev. Dr. Vanessa Hawkins, our Designated Associate Presbytery Leader, leads us in Diving Deeper.  In pursuing social justice, it is always good to know how our lives have been ordered. Our lives have been shaped by certain events and individuals—parents, relatives, teachers, siblings, church leaders, etc. Their influences have shaped us consciously and unconsciously.  Contemplative practices are tools that helps us explore how others have shaped how we see the world and engage it. Over three weeks, we will examine our lives to discover how events, geography, and others have shaped how we understand ourselves, justice, and God. This class will use spiritual writing, guided meditations, and other spiritual practices to explore how one understands justice and the factors that have impacted one’s path as a justice seeker.
