Alice the Thinking Dog stops by the ECC

Alice the Thinking Dog visited the Early Childhood Center April 23, to the delight of all the children.

This is the sixth year for the event that features Alice with her many tricks, and it is always a special treat for the children who enjoy the show so much, Director Robin Cannon said.

“It brings them love and joy,” she said.

Alice wasted no time in entertaining the children, showing them how she can bowl, jump through hoops, play basketball and ring a cowbell.

The dog that was rescued when she and her siblings were dumped shortly after being born in 2009 was adopted, and since then has performed more than 1,000 shows for schools, hospitals and churches. Her trainer is Beldin Hare.

“I’m so impressed,” Robin said. “Children from one-year-old to six were quiet, watched and applauded.

We seek to live Christ's love, welcome all people and joyfully serve God.
